Emaar Properties

Emaar Properties is a Dubai-based public joint stock company established in 1997 and listed on the Dubai Financial Market, where it trades under the symbol EMAAR. Emaar names Mohamed Alabbar as its founder; he sits on its board as founder and managing director. Besides real estate, the company lists competencies in retail and shopping malls, hospitality and leisure.

Emaar states that it developed Burj Khalifa, which stands in Downtown Dubai and was officially unveiled on 4 January 2010. In 2004 Khaleej Times reported Emaar's plans for Downtown Dubai, and in 2008 it described The Dubai Mall, whose opening date was announced by Emaar Malls Group, as part of the Downtown Burj Dubai development. The company's list of Dubai communities also includes Dubai Marina, Arabian Ranches III, Dubai Hills Estate, Dubai Creek Harbour, Emaar Beachfront, Emaar South and The Valley.

Dubai Hills Estate was announced as a joint venture between Emaar and Meraas. In August 2022 Emaar announced an agreement to fully acquire Dubai Creek Harbour from Dubai Holding, its joint venture partner in the project. Hospitality brands listed by Emaar include Address Hotels + Resorts, Vida Hotels and Resorts, Rove Hotels and Armani Hotels & Resorts.
