Emaar Properties

Emaar Properties was founded in 1997 by Mohamed Alabbar. The company has been listed on the Dubai Financial Market since 2000 under the ticker EMAAR — one of the largest companies on the exchange by market capitalisation.

Emaar's portfolio includes Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, the entire Downtown Dubai masterplan, Dubai Marina (initial phase), Dubai Hills Estate, Emaar Beachfront, Dubai Creek Harbour and Arabian Ranches. As of 2026, more than 100,000 residential units have been delivered with approximately 40,000 in the pipeline.

Emaar is the quality benchmark for the Dubai market. Projects deliver on time, finishes match what was promised, and post-handover service meets international standards. For buyers this means minimal risk and consistent secondary-market liquidity: an Emaar apartment in Downtown typically resells about twice as fast as a comparable unit from a lesser-known developer.

The company operates in 36 countries through Emaar International. Beyond development, the group includes Emaar Hospitality (Address, Vida, Palace Hotels), Emaar Mall and Emaar Entertainment — a vertically integrated ecosystem that adds value for property owners.
