Jumeirah Beach Residence

Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) was the first project of Dubai Properties, a member of Dubai Holding; the developer describes it as the world's largest single-phase residential project. The 1.7 km waterfront community stands in front of Dubai Marina and comprises 36 residential towers and four hotel towers. At the foot of the towers runs The Walk, a 1.7 km shopping promenade whose opening was announced in August 2008 by Dubai Retail, a Dubai Properties subsidiary. On the sand beside The Walk, The Beach — a development of four plazas with an open-air cinema — was officially launched in February 2014. The Dubai Tram, which began operating in November 2014, has two stops in the area: Jumeirah Beach Residence 1 and Jumeirah Beach Residence 2.
