Sobha Realty

Sobha Realty belongs to the Sobha Group, which the company says was founded in 1976 by PNC Menon and describes as a multinational group with developments and investments in the UAE, India and the UK. According to the company, Menon began in 1976 with an interior decoration firm in Oman and in 1995 founded Sobha Developers, headquartered in Bangalore. In 2003 he expanded to Dubai, where Sobha Realty was established as a privately held company in the luxury residential market.

The company describes its approach as backward integration: bringing the value chain from design to delivery in-house, with its own architecture, engineering and MEP teams. It names three factories in Bangalore set up in the early 2000s: Sobha Interiors and Furnishing, Sobha Glazing and Metal Works, and Sobha Concrete Products.

Its best-known Dubai project is Sobha Hartland, which Gulf News reported was launched in mid-2014 in Mohammed Bin Rashid City; the developer describes it as an 8 million sq ft waterfront community along the canal. Other Dubai communities and projects listed by the company include Sobha Hartland II, Sobha Central, Sobha Sanctuary, Sobha One, Sobha SeaHaven and Verde by Sobha.
