Dubai Marina

Dubai Marina is a waterfront community developed by Emaar Properties. The opening ceremony took place on 17 October 2000; Khaleej Times reported that work on the marine walls began in December 1998 with a 3.5 km excavation. Emaar describes the waterway as a 3.5 km canal with dual sea access; in 2025 The National described the district as more than 200 towers along the canal. The community includes the Dubai Marina Walk promenade and Dubai Marina Mall, which Emaar lists at 150,000 m². Sobha Realty Metro Station on the Red Line, named Dubai Marina station until 2021, connects to the Dubai Marina tram station. The RTA also runs marine transport stations along the marina, including Marina Walk and Marina Mall.
