DAMAC Properties presented Cavalli Tower in September 2021 at a media briefing in Italy held during Milan Fashion Week. The launch release described a 70-floor tower in Dubai Marina with 485 units, divided into three sections (luxury, upper luxury and super luxury), with construction due to start in 2022 and to take about four years. Gulf News, carrying a Bloomberg report, described the project the same month as a 70-storey tower in Dubai Marina.

The architect is Shaun Killa, who also designed Dubai's Museum of the Future; CTBUH lists Killa Design as design architect and LACASA Architects and Engineering Consultants as architect of record. Interiors are by Roberto Cavalli. CTBUH describes the structure as all-concrete.
The launch release described a four-storey Cavalli-branded lobby, sky pools and sky gardens, a beach-style pool of about 900 m² in the gardens and six panoramic elevators, with private pools or jacuzzis in the top-category homes.
CTBUH gives 2022 as the construction start and names China State Construction Engineering Corporation Middle East as main contractor. In November 2025 DAMAC marked the topping out with the final concrete pour on the 71st-floor slab and said the tower was on track for handover by the end of 2026. CTBUH lists the tower as under construction at 291 m with 73 floors above ground.
