By 2018 JBR — Jumeirah Beach Residence — inventory consisted mostly of 2007–2010 vintage objects. The cluster had seen no fresh residence projects in over a decade. Dubai Properties acquired one of the last vacant plots on JBR territory and announced La Vie as an inventory refresh for the district.
Construction ran 2019–2023, delayed by the pandemic. Final handover in Q3 2023. Layout philosophy: optimisation for short- and long-term rental in a touristic area — compact kitchens, maximum bedrooms. Balconies open onto Persian Gulf or The Walk.
Today La Vie is JBR's most sought-after new address. Most buyers are investors using short-term programmes (Airbnb, Booking) — tourist demand for JBR is constant. Prices per square metre run 30–40% above neighbouring older towers thanks to the object's new-build status.
