Dubai Properties · Jumeirah Beach Residence
1/JBR is a residential tower by Dubai Properties at the entrance of Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR). The developer announced it in September 2015, with its launch set for the Cityscape Global 2015 exhibition. The tower has 46 floors, with two- to four-bedroom apartments and five-bedroom penthouses on the top two levels; the developer said every apartment would have sea views.
EDGE is the design architect and lead consultant, and Dubai Contracting Company (DCC), awarded the contract in February 2017, is the main contractor. Middle East Construction News named WSP as structural and MEP engineer and architect of record, and reported a gross floor area of 45,096 m².
Enabling and piling works began at the end of January 2016. In May 2018 the developer reported that the core walls had reached the 14th floor and that handover was planned for Q4 2019. The sources found do not confirm when the tower was completed.
