Seven Tides describes itself as a privately owned property developer and holding company launched in 2004. Gulf News calls it Dubai-based, and Gulf News and Arabian Business have named Abdullah (Abdulla) Bin Sulayem as its chief executive.

Gulf News reported that Seven Tides owns the Anantara Dubai The Palm Resort and Spa, and in 2018 listed Dukes Dubai, Oceana Residences and Se7en Residences among its properties on the Palm. MEED reported in September 2017 that construction had started on Se7en Residences, two 14-storey towers on the trunk of Palm Jumeirah.

Elsewhere in Dubai, Gulf News reported in 2018 that the company built the Ibn Battuta Gate Offices and was planning a multi-tower cluster called Seven City at Jumeirah Lake Towers. Outside the UAE, it bought the Dukes London boutique hotel in 2006, according to Gulf News.
