D1 Tower is a residential tower on Al Khail Road in Culture Village, Al Jaddaf, the master development on Dubai Creek led by Dubai Properties. Gulf News reported in June 2007 that Enshaa was developing D1 and the neighbouring Palazzo Versace resort through its joint venture Emirates Sunland Group, and another Gulf News report describes D1 and Palazzo Versace as built in Culture Village by third-party developers. The CTBUH lists Dubai Properties and Emirates Sunland Group as its developers; The National described D1 in 2008 as a Sunland Group project modelled on the company's Q1 tower on Australia's Gold Coast. It stands next to the Palazzo Versace hotel and residences.
According to the CTBUH, construction began in 2007 and the tower was completed in 2015. It is 277.5 m tall, with 78 floors above ground and 3 below, and contains 518 apartments. Its design architect was Innovarchi, with Holford Associates as architect of record and Arabtec and Kele as main contractors.
The CTBUH names Enshaa as the tower's current owner, succeeding Emirates Sunland Group. Gulf Construction, which calls Enshaa the master developer, reported that it had begun handing over the apartments, which range from studios to four-bedroom units.
