Garden Homes
Garden Homes is a villa type on the fronds of Palm Jumeirah, the island launched in 2001. According to Gulf News, the first villas on the island were launched in two types, Garden Homes and Signature Villas. Garden Homes were all four-bedroom villas with about 5,000 sq ft (about 465 m²) of built-up area, on plots of 6,500 sq ft with 65 ft of private beach frontage. Buyers could pay extra for a fifth bedroom or an additional floor. The Palm villas were offered in 12 design themes, among them Arabic, Mediterranean, European and Contemporary.
Engineering consultancy KEO lists Nakheel Properties as the client for the Palm Jumeirah villas: Garden Homes, Town Homes and Signature Villas on the island's 17 fronds. KEO completed the villa designs and associated infrastructure, managed procurement and supervised construction.
The National described a four-bedroom Garden Home in 2010 as a villa in a gated community with direct access to a private beach.
