Al Furjan

Al Furjan is a family-oriented community master-developed by Nakheel in Jebel Ali, Dubai, south of Ibn Battuta Mall and next to Discovery Gardens and The Gardens. It covers 560 hectares and was divided into four villages. In June 2008 Nakheel awarded Arabtec a contract to build the first 1,500 villas and terrace homes. In 2021 Nakheel described the existing housing in Al Furjan as 1,700 villas and townhouses and 2,800 apartments. The community has two retail Pavilions, a community club and schools, with road access via Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, Al Yalayis Street and Sheikh Zayed Road. In December 2020 Nakheel announced that Al Furjan metro station, part of the Route 2020 extension of the Dubai Metro, would open on 1 January 2021. In May 2021 Nakheel launched Murooj Al Furjan, a gated villa community in the centre of Al Furjan.
