Dubai South

Dubai South covers 145 km² and includes Al Maktoum International Airport and the site of World Expo 2020. It was known as Dubai World Central until August 2015, when it was renamed under a law issued by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai; the new name was announced by the chairman of the Dubai Aviation City Corporation, and at the time the district was described as a city designed for one million people. Its parts include a Logistics District, a Business Park, the e-commerce zone EZDubai, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub and a Golf District, where Azizi Developments has launched the mixed-use development Azizi Venice.
